WOLFCLAN
FOUNDING
Wolfclan was founded and is still led by the outgoing and caring Wolfstar. Wolfstar was adamant that the clans stay unified, but after a tenuous fight between her and her former mate Eaglestar, she trekked to the forests of Agawa Canyon and established Wolfclan.
WOLFCLAN CATS
Wolflcan cats are the largest of all three clans, and usually have thick coats and long fur. Commonly solid, dark colors appear in Wolfclan, such as shades of brown and black, although tabby and orange cats aren’t unusual. They tend to prefer yellow, amber, or brown eyes.
NIGHT WALKERS
Night Walkers are cats with unnaturally exceptional night vision; they are often mostly nocturnal, and sleep for the majority of the day. They are highly respected in the clan, and fall just below healers. They are commonly the largest cats in the clan, and get first pick of food just after elders and queens. They patrol the territory at night, hunt larger animals (beavers, wolf pups, bear cubs etc), and protect their clan at all costs. A warrior must be at least 17 moons old before they’re able to train as a Night Walker.
Night Walkers, despite their size and status, are often very kind and helpful within the clan. They are known to be a tight-knit group.
The first nightwalker was Bearjaw, Wolfstar’s son. He has exceptional night vision and hunting skills, and found hunting at night was more challenging. He began to sleep during the day and hone his skills, and acts as a guard for his clan against nocturnal predators.
TERRITORY
Wolfclan Camp is an abandoned deer den in the thick woods of the canyon. The dens are small nests hidden in the underbrush.
Besides the forest not occupied by Eagleclan, one of the many waterfalls in the canyon fall into their territory, as well as some of the twoleg paths.
NOTABLE LOCATIONS
THE ABANDONED TWOLEG CAMP : The Abandoned Twoleg Camp is an eerie, if not comfortably isolated part of Wolfclan’s territory. Its a frequent haunt for healers to collect herbs, and hangout for those who aren't creeped out by it.
THE FALLEN TREE : The Fallen Tree is a fallen hardwood tree just outside camp that is often used by Wolfstar for meetings.
THE WATERFALL : The Waterfall is a large waterfall within Wolfclan’s territory that acts as a fishing/hunting spot, hangout, and area for herb collecting.
CUSTOMS
Wolfclan is a very familial clan. Eating alone can be considered rude, and Wolfclan cats often wrestle/spar to bond. Wolflcan is the most open to interclan friendships, and actually hold multiple festivals in which every cat in Agawa Canyon is invited.
Mentors are seen as another parental figure in Wolfclan. Apprentices depend on their mentors to guide and care for them, and spend most of their time with their mentor. Even after they become warriors, most Wolfclan cats stay close with their mentors and spend time with them.
Wolfclan holds a festival on the first day of Newleaf (often called the Flower Festival), in which any and all cats in the Canyon are invited to play games, collect flowers, share stories and prey, and bond.
Wolfclan also hosts the three night long Leafbare Moon Festival, dedicated to Moonrise, the goddess of night and the winter seasons. At this festival, prey is offered, cats paint their pelts using berries and other materials, and hold competitions/games in her honor.
